Infrastructure improvement project coming in Torrance

On Monday, our Rancho Dominguez District will start an infrastructure upgrade to improve water supply reliability and fire protection in northeast Torrance. Crews will install 1,700 feet of new 8-inch and 6-inch water main to replace smaller, aging pipes.

Work will take place Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.:

  • From the 21300 to 21400 blocks of Vermont
  • From the 700 to 800 blocks of 214th
  • In the 21300 Block of Conradi Dr.

Crews are also replacing a fire hydrant and 20 individual customer water service connections to improve firefighting capabilities and strengthen system reliability. The project is expected to be completed in early April.
