Cal Water announced today that Ralph Felix was selected as the new District Manager of the utility’s Rancho Dominguez operations. Felix has been with Cal Water for more than 18 years and has extensive hands-on knowledge of district operations and water systems. He succeeds Dan Armendariz, who was promoted to a Director of Field Operations position.
Felix started his Cal Water career in the company’s East Los Angeles District in 2004 as an Operation Maintenance Worker and has since worked as a Meter Reader, Utility Worker, Certified Pump Operator, Superintendent, and Rancho Dominguez Operations Manager. He has served as the Interim District Manager of the Rancho Dominguez District since June.
“Ralph is a natural-born leader, a knowledgeable operator, and a great community partner,” said Director of Field Operations, Southern Region Henry Wind. “He will ensure our Rancho Dominguez District customers continue to receive the same excellent quality, service, and value they have come to expect and deserve.”
Felix holds Water Treatment Grade Two and Water Distribution Grade Four certifications from the State Water Resources Control Board. He is also a certified Backflow Tester and Cross-Connection Control Specialist through the American Water Works Association.
