Testers who want to be included on the Cal Water tester resource list must attend a Backflow Tester Meeting. In addition, they are required to submit a tester information sheet and provide evidence of backflow prevention assembly tester certification, along with their backflow test kit calibration. Testers are responsible for providing the Cal Water districts in which they test with any updates to certification and test kit calibration throughout the year in order to maintain their list eligibility.

Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester Meetings for the 2025 Testing Season
Inclusion on the Cal Water tester resource list requires the tester to attend one of the scheduled annual meetings. Testers will be required to submit a tester agreement, tester certification, and current backflow test kit calibration(s). It is the responsibility of the tester to provide Cal Water with any updates to certification and test kit calibration(s) throughout the year to maintain their list eligibility. Testers who attend one of the annual meetings must submit all their documentation afterward to the district-specific dedicated backflow email address of their local CCC Specialist. The email addresses can be located on our Cross-Connection Control Program Resource List. Please see the information below regarding our annual tester meetings.

- Meeting attendance will require access to the internet through either a computer with a camera and microphone, or a tablet/smartphone.
- You must pre-register for the specific meeting that you plan to attend; details are provided below. You can register anytime up to and including the day of the meeting. If circumstances occur where you miss the meeting, simply register for another meeting.
- Please share the attached form and meeting schedule with other testers, but please do not post on social media or third-party websites.
- If you change devices during the meeting, send a chat message with details.
- Please read the Tester Agreement carefully, as you will be held responsible for your conduct, and ignorance will not be an excuse.
- If you are more than 15 minutes late, you will not be given credit for attending.
- Each tester should be on their own device to receive credit for attending the class.
- These will be the only tester meetings held for the year, so please arrange your affairs to be in attendance at one of them. If you can’t make one of the eight meetings, you will not be eligible to be on our resource list until 2027.
- Make sure you complete the Zoom registration with your accurate name, email address, and tester certification number. Failing to do so can result in you being left off the list.
