Cal Water’s Chico District was formed in 1926 with the purchase of the Chico Water Supply Company, Chico-Vecino Water Company, and the C.C. White Water Company. To meet the needs of our Chico customers, we utilize 68 wells to pump an average of 27 million gallons of groundwater per day, which is delivered through 373 miles of pipeline, eight storage tanks, and nine booster pumps.
Hamilton City
Cal Water has provided high-quality water utility services in the Hamilton City area since 1962. To meet the needs of our Hamilton City customers, we utilize three wells to pump an average of 0.56 million gallons of groundwater per day, which is delivered through 7.7 miles of pipeline.

How do I turn off the water supply to my house in the event of a break in my plumbing or a repair?
You can interrupt the flow of water to your home by turning off your house valve. House valves are usually located beneath a faucet outside the home, most typically near the faucet for the garden hose. If you cannot find your house valve, please contact your local Customer Center for assistance.
