A Cal Water customer in our East Los Angeles District has reported being approached by an individual who claimed the tap water was unsafe and that he was there to test the water inside their home. This person is not a Cal Water employee. All Cal Water field representatives wear uniforms with the company logo and carry photo identification with the Cal Water logo. Most Cal Water vehicles also have the Cal Water logo on the door.

We urge our customers to remain vigilant if they are approached or contacted by someone asking to test their home’s water. If you are ever unsure about someone asking to test your water, please do not let him or her into your home and call your local office for verification. As always, your safety is our top priority.
