Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester Meetings for the 2027 Testing Season
To be included on Cal Water’s customer resource lists, testers must attend one of the annual tester meetings and, after the meeting, submit a completed Tester Agreement, current tester certification, and test kit calibration documentation to the district-specific dedicated backflow email address of their local CCC Specialist. The email addresses can be located on our Cross-Connection Control Program Resource List.
Attendance is only required for testers who wish to be included on our resource lists.
Testers who do not attend may still perform testing within Cal Water service areas, provided we have a completed Tester Agreement, current tester certification, test kit calibration documentation, and the tester has been granted access to our mobile testing application. Please see the information below regarding our annual tester meetings.
Reminders
- Meeting attendance will require access to the internet through either a computer with a camera and microphone, or a tablet/smartphone.
- You must pre-register for the specific meeting that you plan to attend; details are provided below. You can register anytime up to and including the day of the meeting. If circumstances occur where you miss the meeting, simply register for another meeting.
- Please share the attached form and meeting schedule with other testers, but please do not post on social media or third-party websites.
- If you change devices during the meeting, send a chat message with details.
- Please read the Tester Agreement carefully, as you will be held responsible for your conduct, and ignorance will not be an excuse.
- If you are more than 15 minutes late, you will not be given credit for attending.
- Each tester should be on their own device to receive credit for attending the class.
- These will be the only tester meetings held for the year, so please arrange your affairs to be in attendance at one of them. If you can’t make one of the eight meetings, you will not be eligible to be on our resource list until 2028.
- Make sure you complete the Zoom registration with your accurate name, email address, and tester certification number. Failing to do so can result in you being left off the list.
- Unique start and end codes will be provided during each meeting, which must be recorded on the tester agreement.
