Lucerne Water Infrastructure Upgrade Completed

Cal Water has completed a water infrastructure upgrade in Lucerne that will help strengthen water supply reliability and fire protection for local customers.

The project included the installation of approximately 955 feet of new 6-inch water main along 13th Avenue, between East Highway 20 and Country Club Drive.

The new water main replaces aging infrastructure and is designed to improve system reliability, enhance water flow for firefighting efforts, and support the continued delivery of safe, clean, and reliable drinking water to the community.

“Investing in our infrastructure is essential to providing reliable service and supporting the long-term needs of the communities we serve,” said Tavis Beynon, Redwood Valley District Manager. “This project will help improve water system reliability, strengthen fire protection capabilities, and reduce the likelihood of future service disruptions for our customers in Lucerne.”

The project is part of Cal Water’s ongoing commitment to responsibly invest in and maintain critical water infrastructure throughout its service areas. Proactive system improvements help reduce future maintenance needs, improve operational efficiency, and enhance service reliability for customers.
