Residential Programs and Rebates

Smart Landscape Tune-Ups

Cal Water is offering a Smart Landscape Tune-Up Program to eligible residential customers in select service areas to help save water outdoors. This program is available at no charge. Customers must have an active, functional irrigation system to be eligible for this program.

How Does It Work?

There are four easy steps to participate:

  1. Visit the Conservation Portal to confirm that the program is available in your area.
  2. Sign up to receive an irrigation system efficiency evaluation from one of our contractors.
  3. A Cal Water conservation team member will verify your eligibility and initiate the scheduling process with the contractors.
  4. Upon receiving a call from our contractor, schedule a site visit with one of our contractors to receive a site evaluation.

If you would like to speak to a Cal Water representative about this program, please call (844) 207-1313.

Conservation Kits

We are pleased to offer our single-family residential customers conservation kits featuring a range of water-saving plumbing retrofit fixtures. These kits are available at no charge to help make conserving water that much easier.

  • One hose nozzle
  • Two bathroom faucet aerators (use 1.0 gpm)
  • Toilet leak tablets
  • One kitchen faucet aerator (uses 1.5 gpm)

These fixtures are available to current Cal Water single-family residential customers while supplies last and will be mailed to the service address on record. There is a limit of one kit per service address per three-year period.

Lawn removal projects that transform grassy areas into water-wise gardens and landscapes are eligible for this rebate. Pre-approval is required prior to beginning.

Residential high-efficiency toilet rebate (MaP Premium Models)

In addition to meeting the rigorous performance standards of WaterSense labeled toilets, MaP premium toilets must use 1.1 gallons per flush or less and meet a minimum MaP threshold of 600 grams of waste removed from the toilet fixture in a single flush. See the rebate application for restrictions, qualifications and a searchable list of qualified products.

High-efficiency clothes washer rebate

High-efficiency clothes washers use 35-50% less water and approximately 50% less energy than traditional washers. See the rebate application for restrictions, qualifications and a searchable list of qualified products.

Smart irrigation controller rebate

Smart irrigation controllers automatically adjust their watering schedule in response to changing weather conditions. See the rebate application for restrictions, qualifications and a searchable list of qualified products.

High-efficiency sprinkler nozzle rebate

Commercial Rebates

High-efficiency toilet rebate

High-Efficiency Toilets (HETs) are defined as fixtures that flush at 20% below the 1.6-gallons-per-flush (gpf) U.S. maximum or less, equating to a maximum of 1.28-gpf. (The HET category includes dual-flush toilets). New toilet must be replacing an existing toilet that flushes at 3.5 gpf or greater. See the rebate application for restrictions, qualifications and a searchable list of qualified products.

High-efficiency urinal rebate

High-efficiency urinals use less water than traditional urinals and include non-water urinals. New urinal must flush at .125 gpf or less and be replacing an existing urinal that flushes at 1 gpf or greater.

Large rotary sprinkler nozzle rebate

Large rotary nozzles improve distribution uniformity while controlling head-to-head pressure variations and misting. See the rebate application for restrictions, qualifications and a searchable list of qualified products.

Pressure regulated sprinkler spray body rebate

Spray bodies with integrated pressure regulation and check valves save water by providing optimal pressure and minimizing loss of water through low-head drainage. See the rebate application for additional restrictions and qualifications.
