Original post date:

Cal Water will be conducting a planned shutdown in a portion of our Leona Valley system on Oct. 28 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. This shutdown is due to a water main repair that will require a temporary water service interruption for some customers in this area.

Affected properties include 8269 to 8869 Elizabeth Lake Road.

Affected customers may pick up bottled water to use during the temporary shutdown at our station located at 40200 90th Street West after 9 a.m. on Oct. 28, or you may save your receipts for reimbursement. Please mail your receipts to: California Water Service, Attn: Bottled Water Reimbursement, 5015 West Avenue L-14 Unit 2, Quartz Hill, CA 93536. We will also deliver water bottles to your home upon request, if you are unable to get water.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we complete the repair.

In advance of the work being done, you may wish to fill a few sanitary containers and pitchers with water for drinking purposes. Filling a bucket or your bathtub with water can be useful for household purposes such as toilet flushing. After this work has been completed and water service has been restored to your home, as a precaution, we advise you to run your outside hose bib until the water is clear before using water inside. This is to prevent any discolored water from entering your faucets and fixtures and to evacuate air from your service line.
