Summary: Above-ground infrastructure to be relocated due to fissures opening beneath it. Work now expected to be completed in late January, weather permitting.
Current status: Work completed; water restored.
UPDATE 1/20/26: Crews will continue work to relocate a pressure regulator on Vanderlip Trail. This work will result in a temporary low water pressure from approximately 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. for customers on Vanderlip Drive. Additionally, customers in the Portuguese Bend Community Association may also experience low water pressure until our crews are able to activate the booster connection. Thank you for your patience as we complete this task as quickly as possible.
UPDATE 1/9/26: Crews continue work on the relocation, due to some materials being backordered and then rain storms in later December. We are currently in the process of sampling to confirm water quality will meet all standards and expect to tie in to the system around the week of January 19th.
Due to fissures opening beneath one of our pressure regulators, our crews will be relocating the regulator, which we expect to take about three weeks, weather permitting, starting December 1, 2025.
In advance of this work, our crews will need to temporarily interrupt water service on December 1 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. in order to install a valve on our water main to accommodate the relocation. After the relocation is completed, we will switch all customers in PBCA to our portable booster for about two days to minimize any service disruptions while we tie the pressure regulator into the system.
