Above-Ground Water Main Installations in PBCA Completed

On November 14, crews connected the last portion of new, above-ground water main installed along Narcissa Drive into the water system. That milestone marked the completion of the larger water main replacement project throughout the neighborhood, which included about 7,000 feet of main being moved above-ground along much of Narcissa Drive, Cinnamon Lane, and several adjacent streets.
Beyond the larger PBCA water main replacement project, over the past month, crews also installed about 400 feet of above-ground water main above-ground near the “5 Corners,” where Narcissa Drive, Cinnamon Lane, and Ginger Root Lane meet. With satisfactory water quality and pressure test results received, crews connected this section of main to the water system on November 20.
Thank you to our customers in the Portuguese Bend Community Association for your patience as we worked to replace the existing water main to accommodate the continued land movement over the past several months.

Extension of Above-Ground Main Underway Along Vanderlip Drive

Due to the continued land movement affecting our infrastructure, we are extending the above-ground water main installed along Vanderlip Drive to include the upper-most portion of the street. Crews began construction on November 8 and expect the installation to be completed before the end of the month. Crews will then conduct water quality and pressure testing before connecting the new main into the water system.

Above-Ground Water Main Adjusted in Seaview

Construction work in Seaview

This month, crews added more above-ground main to the water main installed at Exultant and Dauntless Drives in the Seaview neighborhood, so that the main could be stabilized above the ground that has shifted downward below the original alignment. After receiving satisfactory water quality and pressure test results, crews tied this section of water main back into the system on November 19.
