Palos Verdes Pipeline project nearing completion
In southern California, Cal Water’s Palos Verdes Peninsula Water Reliability Project (PVPWRP) is winding down. It’s been many years in the making, and a lot of people have worked hard to see this massive project to completion.
As part of the project, crews installed seven miles of new drinking water pipeline and constructed a new pump station on a separate electrical grid to serve the peninsula’s 90,000 residents. We also boarded horses when work was occurring near those properties, hand-dug around a beloved tree in the South Coast Botanic Garden, worked at night to ease traffic around our construction, and relocated residents who were affected by nighttime construction.
At this time, crews are performing minor restoration work and the end is in sight.
