Meetings to Discuss Outlook of Local Water Supply

These documents support long-term resource planning to ensure that adequate supplies are available to meet existing and future demands. At the meetings, representatives from Cal Water will answer questions from residential, commercial, governmental, and industrial customers regarding sources of supply, demand forecasts, and conservation.

Draft copies of the 2020 Urban Water Management Plans, incorporated Water Shortage Contingency Plans, and meeting links can be found by visiting calwater.com/conservation/uwmp-review. Those who are unable to attend but would like to provide feedback on the plans should email [email protected].

“As we continue to experience dry conditions, we anticipate that there may be heightened interest about the future of our local water supply,” said Director of Water Resource Sustainability Ken Jenkins. “We encourage all of our customers who would like to learn about our efforts to ensure a reliable water supply to attend, comment, and partner with us.”

Cal Water updates its Urban Water Management Plans and Water Shortage Contingency Plans every five years and hosts public meetings to educate the community, pursuant to California Water Code, Part 2.6, Chapters 1 through 4.
