Cal Water has completed a water infrastructure upgrade in Redondo Beach, Calif., that will strengthen water system reliability and infrastructure resiliency for customers’ everyday needs and firefighters’ emergency needs.
The project included the installation of 1,790 feet of new 8-inch PVC water main along Ripley Avenue, Ives Lane, Lilienthal Lane, and Phelan Lane. The upgrade will minimize potential water main leaks for local residents and businesses and ensure that firefighters have access to the water they need in the event of an emergency.
“Our essential workers are committed to delivering the reliable supply of safe, high-quality drinking water that Redondo Beach residents and businesses count on every day. Additionally, it will ensure firefighters have the water they need to protect the community in an emergency,” said District Manager Dan Armendariz. “This upgrade is just one way we keep working to deliver on our promise to provide quality, service, and value to our Redondo Beach customers.”
