As part of the its commitment to ensuring customers and firefighters continue to have safe, reliable water service for their everyday and emergency needs, Cal Water has completed a water infrastructure improvement project in east Carson.
The project, which began in June, included the installation of 3,850 feet of new 8-inch PVC water main. Crews also installed six new fire hydrants to improve access for firefighters. Installation took place on East Dominguez Street, South Baltic Avenue, South Caspian Avenue, South Adriatic Avenue, and East Van Buren Street.
“We are committed to delivering a reliable supply of safe, high-quality water to our customers, both now and for years to come,” said District Manager Dan Armendariz. “By replacing aging infrastructure before problems arise, we are able to ensure our customers have water around the clock and that firefighters have access to water when they need it most.”
