Cal Water’s Stockton District reaffirmed its commitment to improving the communities it serves in 2017 by donating nearly $40,000 to local charitable organizations and community groups.
This year, the Stockton District helped non-profits provide services to community members in need by donating to the Stockton Shelter for the Homeless, Bread of Life, Child Abuse Prevention Council, United Way of San Joaquin Valley, El Concilio, Emergency Food Bank, United Cerebral Palsy, and other local organizations. The funds were donated as part of the utility’s philanthropic giving program and not paid for by ratepayers.
“We are glad to partner with these important organizations, which provide such essential services to our community,” said District Manager John Freeman. “California Water Service values being able to give back to help improve the quality of life in the communities we serve.”
