Cal Water’s Dixon District reaffirmed its commitment to improving the communities it serves in 2017 by donating $10,000 to local charitable organizations and community groups.
This year, the Dixon District helped non-profits provide services to community members in need by donating to the Dixon Rotary Foundation, American Legion Post 208, Dixon Toys for Tots, and other local organizations. The funds were donated as part of the utility’s philanthropic giving program and not paid for by ratepayers.
In addition to supporting the community through monetary contributions, many Cal Water Dixon employees volunteer and serve in leadership positions at these and other local organizations, such as Dixon Family Services, Cornerstone Church, Travis Regional Armed Forces Committee, and the Dixon Chamber of Commerce.
“We are glad to partner with these important organizations, which provide such essential services to our community,” said Local Manager Jack Caldwell. “California Water Service values being able to give back to help improve the quality of life in the communities we serve.”
