Earlier this month, our Rancho del Paradiso water system customers were advised to use boiled or bottled water for drinking and cooking due to main breaks that reduced water pressure in a portion of the service area, which could have affected water quality. During a break from the severe storms, our crews were able to make all main repairs, and water quality test results confirm that it is no longer necessary to boil your water.

As weather conditions have improved, our crews are now able to investigate the source of the remaining water main leak and make repairs to the main. Until repairs have been made and we can test water quality samples, please continue to boil your water or use bottled water before using it for drinking or cooking. We will let you know when you may resume normal water use.

Dear Rancho del Paradiso system customers: Our crews have located and repaired one water main leak; however, due to severe weather concerns and additional repairs needed, some Rancho del Paradiso system customers may temporarily continue to experience low water pressure or periodic water service interruptions. Cal Water advises all customers residing in our Rancho del Paradiso water system to take the precaution of boiling all tap water for drinking, preparing food, and brushing teeth until further notice.
We are advising you to take this precautionary measure due to a main break that has reduced water pressure in a portion of your area. The reduced pressure, combined with the anticipated storm and flood potential, could affect water quality. This advisory will remain in effect until we can make repairs and conduct water quality testing to ensure that water quality has not been negatively affected.
All tap water used for drinking, preparing food, and brushing teeth should be boiled rapidly for at least one minute. Customers should also discard ice cubes made from tap water or their refrigerator’s water line. If you have pets and are unsure about providing water to them during this advisory, please consult your veterinarian. Tap water is safe for showering, bathing, and other household uses.
If you prefer to use bottled water during this advisory, you may save your receipts for reimbursement. After the advisory has ended and the upcoming storm has passed, please bring your receipts to our office at 14034 Armstrong Woods Road, Guerneville, CA 95446, or mail them to this address to the attention of Darin McCosker.
