- The tank wall — formed and poured in eight separate sections — is now in place, and the wall's steel reinforcement has been stressed. In parallel, tank columns were formed and poured and are also complete.
- The tank's roof was poured on Thursday, March 10 as a single, monolithic pour. In total, 500 yards of concrete was poured, transported by some 60 concrete trucks.
- The next phase of construction will consist of wrapping the concrete reservoir with pre-stressed steel reinforcement, an integral component that will greatly increase the tank's ductility and ability to withstand seismic movement. This is scheduled to be complete by Mid April.
- Overall tank construction is anticipated to be complete by July, barring adverse weather conditions.

August 20, 2010
- Excavation of soil beneath the existing tank and construction of the 25-foot-high temporary wall to support the excavation during the new tank's construction is complete.
- Half of the tank's lower mat concrete foundation has been placed.
- Installation of steel reinforcement continues on the second half. Concrete for this half will be placed in the next few weeks.

April 26, 2010
- Demolition of the existing tanks roof and floor is complete.
- Excavation of the soils beneath the existing tank is underway along with the construction of a temporary wall to support the existing tank walls and the excavation in preparation for new tank construction.
- Over the next 6 weeks or so, the Contractor will continue removing earth from the reservoir and simultaneously constructing the 25' high shored wall that joins the existing reservoir wall.
