General Information

Cal Water's Selma District was formed in 1962 with the purchase of the water system from Pacific Gas and Electric Company.

Cal Water has provided high-quality water utility services in Selma since 1962, when the company purchased the water system from Pacific Gas and Electric Company. Our water system — composed of a storage tanks, booster pumps, water wells, and over 80 miles of pipeline — delivers 5.9 million gallons of water per day from deep beneath the ground to our 6,400 customers.

Cal Water proactively maintains and upgrades its facilities to ensure a reliable, high-quality supply. We have completed the construction of a new well, secured property for another new well, and completed construction of a new storage tank. We will be securing more property for future use, and will be installing new wells in 2010.
