Water Quality Testing Labs
Cal Water tests water at the source and in the distribution system, but does not perform tests of water in customers' homes. However, such tests can be useful, particularly if you are concerned about health problems caused by your home plumbing or similar issus. If you have a concern about your home water, you can contact one of the below agencies for information on home water testing.
This list is current as of March 9, 2010. Other labs may also be available, and you should check a lab's accredation status before using it. A current list of accredited laboratires can be downloaded from ELAP/NELAP at www.cdph.ca.gov/certlic/labs/Documents/ELAPLablist.xls.
