Cal Water seeks to cultivate business partnerships with qualified suppliers that can provide goods and services at competitive prices and/or that add value to the service we provide our customers.
Our procurement needs span every area of our business – from construction and maintenance equipment and tools, to office supplies and business services – and we are committed to cultivating relationships with suppliers who can help us exceed our goals in these categories.

As a first step to doing business with us, please see our Certification and Registration page to register your company in our database. If you are a diverse supplier, please also see our Supplier Diversity page for more information.
All of our sourcing opportunities go through a formal competitive request for proposal (RFP) and bid process. Once you are registered in our database, and we have an opportunity that relates to your submission, we will contact you.
Second Tier Program
Cal Water is gradually deploying our second tier program to incumbent suppliers to add value to our existing supplier diversity initiative. Since 2005, we have been committed to doing business with diverse suppliers in the communities we serve. As part of our commitment, we encourage our business partners to utilize diverse suppliers.
We have initiated our second tier program in order to track diverse spending by our primary suppliers. Participation in the program is by invitation only and requires spend reporting on a quarterly basis. This program is meant to increase opportunities for diverse suppliers across our supply chain and add value to our existing supplier diversity initiative. If you are an incumbent Cal Water supplier with second tier spend that you are not currently reporting to us, we encourage you to email supplierdiversity@calwater.com for participation details.
